Gemini gets more apps: fewer tabs, more doing?
Google is bringing design, website and productivity tools into Gemini. Here’s the simple version.
Google announced a new wave of Connected Apps for Gemini on September 23. The idea is simple: use more of your everyday tools from a chat instead of jumping between tabs.
What’s joining Gemini?
Creative tools include Adobe, Picsart, Squarespace and Webflow. Productivity additions include Airtable, Linear, monday.com and Zoho. Google says the rollout has begun.
You can connect apps through Gemini’s settings, then bring them into a conversation with an @ mention or by asking directly. Check what is available in your account as the rollout reaches users.
Why I’m interested
As someone who creates content and builds websites, the creative tools are what caught my eye. Less switching around could make planning and creating smoother. That’s the promise, though. I’d want to try the connections before judging how much time they actually save.
