Android’s September update: small features, big help
Shared notes, fresh chat backgrounds, and a little help remembering where you put things. Here’s the quick version.
Google announced its September Android feature drop on September 1. This one is about making everyday things a little easier. Here are three updates that caught my eye.
What’s new?
Google Keep notes are coming into Google Messages, so friends can edit a shopping list together inside a chat. Messages also gets custom backgrounds and matching colours to give conversations their own look.
Google also announced an upcoming Gemini feature that saves where you put important items in Find Hub. Think: remembering which drawer holds your passport. It needs Android 16 or later and a supported country.
My small take
The shared lists sound useful, and you know I like making a phone feel like mine. These are the little Android extras I enjoy. Availability depends on your device, apps and region, so don’t expect every feature immediately.
