When you submit an event

We collect your name or organisation, email, event details, registration link and poster. We use them to review, publish and manage the listing, contact you about it when needed, and prevent misuse. Submitting an event is optional. The required fields are necessary to review it.

Your email field stays private to the site administrator and the services hosting the data. If approved, your name or organisation, event details and poster become public. Avoid putting private information into the description or poster. Your submission goes to Nana Yaw, not to Kweku Tech.

Visitor statistics

We record the page path, visit date and minute, and referring website domain to understand how the site is used. A daily identifier is derived from your network IP address using a server-held secret. The analytics database does not store the raw IP address, but these identifiers are pseudonymous, not completely anonymous. Visitors sharing a connection may count as one.

These statistics use no analytics cookies. The hosting provider still processes connection information to deliver and protect the website. We do not use these statistics for advertising profiles.

Your statistics preference is stored locally in this browser. We also honour the browser’s Do Not Track signal for our own statistics. These controls do not disable necessary hosting or security processing.

Cookies and storage

The private dashboard uses a secure sign-in cookie lasting up to eight hours. Public browsing does not require an account. Apart from the statistics preference, the website does not set advertising or analytics cookies.

Hosting, event sources and external links

Cloudflare hosts this site and its database and processes data needed to provide those services. Processing may take place outside Ghana. Its infrastructure logs and backups follow its service settings and policies. Cloudflare privacy information ↗

Some public listings come from Kweku Tech. Posters hosted elsewhere are loaded from their image providers, which receive connection information when your browser requests them. Registration, social and WhatsApp links lead to independent services with their own privacy practices. We do not collect ticket payments on this website.

How long information stays

Daily cleanup removes our analytics records older than 30 days and expired submission rate-limit records. Pending or rejected submissions are removed after 90 days from submission. Published local events, their contact email and uploaded poster are removed 180 days after the event’s end date, or start date for a single-day event. Provider backups may take longer to expire under their own retention arrangements.

These limits apply to the website database, not messages you separately send by email or social platforms. We keep correspondence only for as long as needed to handle the conversation and relevant obligations.

Your choices and requests

You can ask about the information we hold about you, request access or correction, request removal of your submission, or withdraw permission to publish it. Email us with the event name or link; we may ask for enough information to verify that the request is yours. Some rights and retention exceptions depend on applicable law.

Keeping information safe

Administration requires sign-in, and unpublished submissions and uploaded posters are restricted from public access. No online service can promise absolute security. Please do not submit identity documents, financial account details or other sensitive personal information.
