Xiaomi 18 Pro Max: big specs, big expectations
A quick look at the screen, chip, cameras and price of Xiaomi’s new flagship.
Xiaomi has my attention with this one. The 18 Pro Max brings a big screen, a huge battery and some serious camera hardware. Here’s the short version.
The specs that stand out
Launch coverage lists a 6.9-inch OLED screen with a 1–120Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, and an 8,500mAh battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. The Leica camera setup combines 200MP main and telephoto cameras with a 50MP ultrawide. Launch specifications ↗
What about performance?
On paper, that hardware looks promising for gaming, multitasking and creating content. I haven’t tested it yet, so real battery life, heat and camera quality still need a hands-on verdict.
Is it cheap?
Xiaomi lists a starting price of ¥6,999 in China. That’s premium territory. Ghana pricing isn’t confirmed here, and import costs could change the value. My take? Exciting specs, but I’d check the local price before calling it a bargain. Xiaomi’s China listing ↗
